New ‘Data Capture Workbooks’ have been published by the Shelford Group.

 

These are optional tools to support trusts with collecting SNCT and MHOST data. The workbooks enable trusts to input data daily during each census period, provide oversight dashboards for safer staffing leads, and automate calculations for upload into licensed SNCT and MHOST workbooks.

 

There are two workbooks available:

 

SNCT Data Capture Workbook: This workbook supports the Adult Inpatient Wards in Acute Hospitals, Adult Acute Assessment Units and Children & Young People’s Inpatient Wards in Acute Hospitals tools. It does not support the Emergency Department Safer Nursing Care Tool  as this is already integrated into the ED SNCT workbook.

 

MHOST Data Capture Workbook: This workbook supports the Mental Health Optimal Staffing Tool.
